Steve Walpole is a professional chef who’s been in the game for over 25+ years. A culinary genius in his own right with experience working in the house of commons as well as starring on tv shows and more. We met with Steve and his wife Yvonne to understand what issues his current branding and online identity has and how we can solve them to update his image and showcase his talent as he takes on a new step in his career as a consultant for small and big brands that help develop their own culinary businesses.

The Creative Challenge

After the initial briefings with the client we begun to understand Steves personality outside of the culinary industry. A clean cut guy who oozes professionalism but has a softer side to him. The clients wanted the branding to reflect his personal image as well  as look modern, clean and presentable.

The outcome of the project was the creation of a full brand identity that consisted of hand drawn elements contrasting with clean a san serif typeface in partnership with a signature styled graphic element for a personal touch. The website design followed suit of this style while also implementing a dark overlay on all photography to give a gourmet, elegant look when paired with a bright salmon pink colour palette which runs consistently thoughout his branding, website and marketing assets.
